Volunteer Services at St. Francis Hospital

The St. Francis Auxiliary provides compassionate support and valuable services to patients, families and visitors as well as funding for special projects to benefit the hospital. The Auxiliary was organized in 1958 to provide volunteer and monetary support to the hospital. Since then, volunteers have been sharing of themselves every day, contributing more than 650,000 volunteer hours.

Our volunteers serve patients, staff and the community in many capacities. Whether assisting at the Information Desk, the ICU/CCU Waiting Room or the Book Cart, they contribute to the quality of health care at St. Francis Hospital. Our volunteers are a special group of all ages and interests who enjoy the gift of giving. A special Junior Volunteer Program introduces teens, ages 14 to 18, to health care professions and to the hospital environment.

Special Auxiliary events and the Auxiliary Gift Shop fund numerous projects annually, including scholarships to deserving students in the health care profession and the purchase of the latest technology for the hospital. The Auxiliary has donated more than $1.5 million dollars to St. Francis Hospital since it began.
